Skating Gnome

I used one of the cute Skating Gnomes from Mo's Digital Pencil to make something a little different this week. I made an interactive slider card so that the gnome can really skate across the ice.

I have had the Surf and Turf die by MFT for years. I really wanted it because I love slider cards but I've never actually used it!  So I got this skating gnome specially to try it out and I had fun with it and love the result :)

For the sentiment I used words from a stamp that I cut out and the "ice" is made with some old letter stickers I had lying around.

I made the sky using Distress Oxides and coloured the gnome with Copics

Copics used :

B 21, 23, 24, 26, 28

E 000, 13, 21, 35, 55

W 1, 3

R 20, 22

Fairy Tuttle

This week I got to use one of the gorgeous new stamps from Mo's Digital Pencil.

This is Fairy Tuttle, she is absolutely adorable isn't she?!

I coloured her with copics, and had a lot of fun choosing all my favourite colours for her clothes. I also added a little Wink of Stella to her wings and cut her out.

Then I created the background.  I used my gel press and brayered on some Distress Oxide inks. Then I added water to some of the ink and splashed it on top, then took a print.

After that had dried I used a circle mask to create a moon, sponging Distress Oxide around the edge and then highlighting the edge a little with white gel pen.

I used Dandelions, Field Grass and Mini Stars by Lavinia Stamps with an old PSX words stamp to create a scene.

Then I added some ground at the bottom with Distress Oxides and also blended them around the whole panel. I added a little glitter to one of the dandelions too although you can't see that in the photo.

Bird (and Monster)

I had a teenage boy birthday card to make just before Christmas and I used the wonderful Bird (and Monster) stamp from Mo's Digital Pencil.  This went perfectly with the copy of Frankenstein that I bought him :)

He was fun to colour and the background I made was fun too!  I had been given some Brusho Powders for my birthday but hadn't tried them yet and I thought this would be a perfect opportunity to use the grey Brusho. It created a really simple but effective background :)

Purple Fairy

I have another card to share using one of the gorgeous little fairies from the 6 Baby Fairies set from Mo's Digital Pencil.

All of these fairies are so precious and you can use them for so many different occasions.

I coloured her with Copics, and added some white gel pen accents and gold glitter pen to the centre of her wings.

I cut her out and put her on a tag by CC Designs along with this great quote from a Stamping Bella set.

I used an old Stampin Up embossing folder on the purple card and used white craft ink to highlight it more.

Mrs Claus

I have a card to share today featuring Mrs Claus one of the gorgeous new Christmas stamps from Mo's Digital Pencil.

This is such a fun stamp and I loved colouring and creating this card :)

I created the backgound using the Gingham stamp from Whimsy Stamps with Citron Distress Oxide ink.  The sentiment is from an old CC Designs set and the Jolly die is from Concord & 9th. I also used the Envelope edger die by Whimsy Stamps.

I added some highlights to the Jolly die and added stars to Mrs Claus' apron with a white gel pen.

Fairy Magic

I have a card to share today using another beautiful image from the 6 Baby Fairies set from Mo's Digital Pencil.

I decided to create a slimline card and use some "unusual" fairy colours for something a bit different :)

I created the background using Pumpkin, Lemonade and Citron Distress Oxide inks through the Gradient Circle Stencil from Tim Holtz.

Her wings have some gold glitter pen on the flourishes and some glitter. White gel pen was used for the centre of the flower.  The sentiment is an old one by Penny Black.

Copics used :

Y 11, 13, 15, 23, 26

YG 0000, 01, 03, 06, 13

YR 16, 18

E 000, 00, 13, 41, 50

I think these colours with the pop of black make this fairy card a little more grown up looking.
