Olivia's Apple

It's pretty amazing that it's almost July isn't it?  This year is flying by!
And the start of a new month means it's time for another release of gorgeous new stamps at CC Designs.

Today the Design Team are previewing CC Design stamps.  Head over to the blog to see everyone's creations.

I chose to work with this stamp called Olivia's Apple and I think she's really adorable!

CC Designs, Olivia's Apple, All about teachers

The sentiment is a new one too and is from a set called All About Teachers.  I decided to try using the chalkboard technique with it.  My girls have lots of teachers and I always like to make thank you cards for them to let them know how much they're appreciated. So this set, along with the gorgeous Olivia, is wonderful and will get used a lot.

Ingredients :
Stamps : Olivia's Apple, All About Teachers (CC Designs)
Card : x-press it, black, sahara sand, Summer Stories (Teresa Collins)
Ink : memento black, versamark, antique linen DI
Other : woodgrain EF (SU), white crayon, ribbon (SU), white embossing powder, copics

Butterflies

I have a Whimsy card to share with you today and I decided to do some more brayering :)

I used the wonderful SC Design set Fluttering By again for the sentiment.  I have used it a lot already, I love it!  This time though, instead of using the butterfly images that come in the set, I decided to use the Butterfly Border Die also from SC Design.

The butterflies are joined in a row but I just used black card with the die and then cut these 2 butterflies off.
I then glued these on to vellum and fussy cut around them.  I tried not to cut the black butterflies but just the vellum.  Then I coloured the vellum from the back with pink and blue copics, you can use any kind of marker to do this though.  I attached them with a rolled up glue dot behind their bodies so that it couldn't be seen.  So they are very dimensional and the wings can be bent up too.  They reminded me of stained glass windows and I really liked how they turned out :)

For the brayered panel I used a circle cut from a post it note to mask a moon.  At the top I brayered pool party, turquoise and indigo and at the bottom it is wisteria, pretty in pink and razzleberry.

Ingredients :
Stamps : Fluttering By
Card : black, white, subtles and brights dsp stacks (SU), vellum
Ink : versafine black, pool party, turquoise, indigo, wisteria, pip, razzleberry
Other : Butterfly Border Die, brayer, pool party ribbon, copics

I would like to enter this into the challenge at A Creative Romance - Anything Goes.

Thanks for dropping by today :)

Shopping Nancy

I have a card for CC Designs to share with you today.  This one is using a new release Roberto's image called Shopping Nancy.  She's very cute isn't she :)

CC Designs, Shopping Nancy, Roberto's, heart border die, baggie and tag die

I also used a new release CC designs die called the Baggie and Tag die.  I cut the Bag from velum paper and the tag from kraft.  One thing I love about the tag is that the hole is cut for you too. No more trying to punch a hole in the right spot!  And the bag is also just the right size to fit a gift card!  :)
The papers are from a MME pad called Kate and Co and the sentiment piece on the bag is also from this pad .  The little hearts are cut from the CC Designs Heart Border Die.

I coloured her with copics, trying to match the colours in the paper.

Ingredients :
Stamps : Shopping Nancy
Card : x-press it, black, naturals ivory, kraft, vellum paper, Kate and Co (MME)
Ink : memento black
Other : Baggie and Tag dieHeart Border Die, pip taffeta ribbon, hemp twine, copics

Fluttering By

I wanted to use the gorgeous new Whimsy sentiment set by SC Design called Fluttering By again, but this time make it the focal point.
I thought the butterflies might look pretty on a brayered sky, plus I've been missing my brayering :)

I brayered the panel using pool party and tempting turquoise inks at the top and wisteria and razzleberry at the bottom.  Then I used Versafine black ink to stamp the butterflies on top.  I stamped twice each time without reinking, thus getting black and grey butterflies.  I decided to use this panel to make a post-it note holder.

Ingredients :
Stamps : Fluttering By
Card : razzleberry, whisper white, black
Ink : razzleberry, wisteria, pool party, turquoise, versafine black

I used this gorgeous stamp by A Random Fan called Monet's Butterfly.  It was my first time using a Random Fan stamp and I really loved it.  She is so sweet and cute and lots of fun to colour.

Nipper

I have another new release CC Designs card to share today.  This time the Design Team are showcasing Pollycraft stamps and I chose to work with this cutie called Nipper.

cc designs, pollycraft, nipper, mini alpha and numbers die

I thought it would make a great Belated Birthday card.  With "Oh Crab" on the front and "I forgot your Birthday" inside.
I decided to make another beach scene.  This time just using papers from the Uncharted Waters pad by Glitz.  All I had to do was tear the edge to make a waveline and the gorgeous papers did the rest. I used the CC Designs Cutters Mini Alpha and Numbers Die to create the sentiment.  I also used a warm grey copic to create a shadow around the edge of the letters to try to make it look as though they were really on the sand.

Ingredients :
Stamps : Nipper
Card : x-press it, naturals ivory, black, Uncharted Waters (Glitz)
Ink : memento black
Other :  CC Designs Cutters Mini Alpha and Numbers Die, copics

Beach Ball Birgitta

It's new release preview time at CC Designs and I have made a card with a gorgeous new stamp called Beach Ball Birgitta.  She's so very cute isn't she!

cc designs, beach ball Birgitta, happy day, heart border die

It's not exactly beach weather here, we're heading for a top temperature of 15 degrees C. and it's raining too :(  But it has been lovely colouring her and making a beach card and dreaming of sunshiny days :)

To make the scene, I brayered pool party and tempting turquoise inks onto white card for the water. The waves are made using the CC Designs Cutters Heart Border Die.  Hopefully they look like waves anyway, pretty heart waves. And I used cork paper for the sand.

I coloured her with copics and used glossy accents on her sunglasses.

The sentiment is from the Happy Day set.

The Design Team are highlighting the new CC Designs images for June today so please head over to the CC Designs Blog to check out their fabulous cards using this and other new images.  And you could also win a voucher to spend in the store :)
