Book Bunny

At still addINKtive this week we are showcasing Stampin Up Easter stamps.

You can make a new card but you can also share past Easter creations with us.

I made this card with my wonderful club ladies last week.

The hostess had asked to do an Easter card. She also loves to colour and was interested in learning more about SU wheels,  So this card was born.

I also thought I would show them how to make a magnetic bookmark using the two tags die.  So it’s a cute little gift as well.

Ingredients :

Stamps : Every egg wheel

Card : crumb cake, shimmery white, watercolour paper, pink pirouette, starfruit, primrose, print poetry dsp stack

Ink : stazon, crumb cake, primrose, starfruit, raspberry

Other : big shot, two tags die, vintage faceted button, bakers twine, scallop and circle punches, corner rounder, aqua pen, honeycomb ef, primrose ribbon, magnet strips

Please take a look at the Easter cards the rest of the design team have created.  They are all very beautiful!

And please share your Easter cards with us.

Shopping and Crafting

Did you notice the cute fox on the right hand side of my blog?

Well that takes you to my very own Stampin Up store where you can buy supplies at any time of the day or night!  Yes, Stampin Up now has online ordering in Australia.  WooHoo!

You will still get all the same benefits and special offers as usual and it is really easy to do. And if you have been thinking about becoming a demonstrator you can sign up that way as well.  You can do both your crafting and shopping in your pyjamas now if you like!

And there was even more Stampin Up excitement today because we now have mds (my digital studio) too!

My Digital Studio is an intuitive digital design software featuring Stampin' Up!'s exclusive artwork, colours, and templates. Be your own digital designer and create an array of photobooks, cards, calendars, and more--which you can then print or save to DVD, e-mail, or upload to the Internet.

Learn more about My Digital Studio by clicking on the fox (actually my SU store).  There is even a 30 day free trial so you can see whether you like it before buying.  You’ve got nothing to lose!

I hope you’ll click on the fox, check out my store and download the free trial.

And let me know what you think of it all :)

Kind Poppies

This week at still addINKtive we have a sketch and colour combo for you.

You may choose to do either colour, sketch or both!

Bronwyn designed a very pretty circular sketch which I have been inspired by but I have made mine a square card instead.

I haven’t used my copics for quite a while now and I was really having withdrawals!  So I thought I would use copics similar to the stampin up colours in the challenge and colour the poppies.  I love this stamp, it is so beautiful and lots of fun to colour.

I also stamped the Kindness Matters butterfly onto vellum, coloured it from behind with a marker and cut it out.

Ingredients:

Stamps : Pleasant Poppies, Kindness Matters

Card : sahara sand, black, x-press it, vellum card

Ink : white, sahara sand, pip marker, copics

Other : pip satin ribbon (ret.), linen thread, vintage faceted button, white pen, big shot, fancy fan ef

Please take a look at what the rest of the design team have created this week and we’d love it if you would play along with our challenge too.

Still Warm

This week at still addINKtive we have a great sketch and colour challenge.

You don’t have to combine the two challenges, you can take your pick, but I decided to use both.

Yes, I used my By the Seashore set again.  I have really enjoyed playing with it but I’ll give it a little rest now :)  We have had our hottest summer ever recorded in Tasmania this year.  We are now into Autumn and yet we are still getting temperatures in the 30’s which is very strange weather for us Hobartians!  A sign of global warming unfortunately. Anyway it still feels summery here and I thought I would make a beachy card.

I sponged some crumb cake at the bottom and some pool party and indigo at the top and sponged a little on the squares too.  I also used the splat stamp from French Foliage in crumb cake and added some pearls too to kind of make a shoreline.

I used naturals ivory card for the base and embossed it with the Delicate Designs folder.  I liked the added texture this gave the card and it reminded me of sand at the beach when it’s raining or when droplets of water make little indentations in it.  Although I’ve never seen rain leave as pretty a pattern as this I must admit :)

Ingredients :

Stamps : By the Seashore, Cheer and wishes (ret.)

Card : naturals ivory, white, crumb cake, first edition dsp

Ink : crumb cake, stazon, pool party, indigo, cherry

Other : big shot, delicate designs ef, pearls, square punch, decorative label punch

Please take a look at the wonderful creations at still addINKtive and we’d love it if you’d play along with us too.
