Beachies

I'm back to share another warm and sunny card for CC Designs.
This time I've used the new set called Beachies.  Isn't she adorable (and the starfish is super-cute too)!
The sentiment is also from this set.

I used the Circle die and a number of Enamel Dots with some lovely Glitz papers and this quick, clean and simple card was done :)

I'd like to enter my card in the following challenges :

Bunny Zoe's Crafts - Summer
Simon Says Stamp - Use patterned paper

Thanks for dropping by today :)

Favourite Seasons

There is a Cyber Crop happening at Mystical Scapbooks this weekend.
The theme is Favourite Seasons and I chose to do Winter.

Even though I don't really like the cold of Winter, I do love that warm and cozy feeling of snuggling into a blanket or soft knits.  I decided to scrap this photo of my youngest two, there's nothing much sweeter than a baby all snuggled up in a cuddly, fluffy suit is there?!

I tried to convey that warm, cozy feeling of Winter by using felt, and a button and doing some stitching on the page too.  So my challenge for you is to use some kind of fabric, buttons and sewing on your page.

The sentiment along the side is cut from the Eclectic paper by Cocoa Vanilla. I say something similar to my girls every night still, after all this time, so it was perfect for my page.

The paper is Seamstress from the Little Yellow Bicycle Clothesline range.  I really loved both sides and only had 1 sheet, so I had to carefully cut a strip out and reverse it where I wanted the panel to be. But it was worth it!  This paper range is especially gorgeous in real life because it has a linen type of texture on one side.

The darker yellow paper around the photo, matt and the small stars is Simple Stories Life in Colour Teal/Yellow paper.

Cardstock is Bazzill Basic White.

The fancy border and date are from the Pink Paislee Hey Kid Element Stickers.
The alphabet is Sunrise - Natural by Thickers.

I used white felt for my stars and just did a simple stitch, tied at the front, to secure them.

I also used some embossing paste and the Stars Stencil from CC Designs on the white matt behind the photo.  The scalloped rectangle die is also from CC Designs.

I hope you'll be inspired and join us for our Seasonal Challenge.

Thanks for dropping by :)

Frame It!

I have another page for Mystical Scrapbooks to share with you today.
It's my turn to host the Challenge too and your mission this month is to :
Frame It - Use a frame over your photo.

I cut my photo to be the same size as the frame, but then tilted it so that you could see the edges of the photo beneath.  I think this made it a little more interesting.  You could also put a smaller frame over a full size photo to highlight a portion of it or you could just frame the outside of the photo normally.

My frame was from the Cocoa Vanilla - Free Spirit Die Cut Ephemera pack.  There are many packs similar to this that include frames or you could make your own using 2 square layering dies or any shape you wish.

Everything else on the page is from the Simple Stories - Life in Colour collection.
I love the hugs and kisses paper, it's called Big Memories and it works so well with the quote.
The pink paper is the B side of So Much Happiness.
The sentiment is from the 4x6 Horizontal Journal Elements paper.
The little strips of papers, flowers and clips are from the Ephemera pack.

I also used Bazzill Basic White Cardstock.

I hope you'll join in our challenge this month.  I can't wait to see your creations.

Thanks for dropping by :)

I decided to use the new Under The Sea stamp set.  I love everything about this set, the mermaid and sea creatures are all adorable and the sentiments are fabulous and fun too!

I thought I would try making a simple card just using the super cute turtle from this set along with the bubbles and the punny turtle sentiment.
I white embossed the bubbles and sentiment onto blue card and then cut a circle out of it using the circle die.
I sponged a little water background for him using distress inks and then splashed water on to it and placed this behind the circle opening.
The turtle is popped up for dimension and I added a few sequins too.

Anyway it was lovely to see some sunshine, even if it was just on a card.

Cute as a Bug

I have a scrap page to share with you today :)

I have really wanted to add a copic coloured image to a layout for quite a while now, and I've finally done it :)
I thought little Elfie from CC Designs would work really well with the photo of my 2 girls being bugs (actually a butterfly and an ant)!

The toadstools are from the Make a card #13 die and I coloured them with copics too.  The clouds are from this die also.

I used the new Jumbo Alphabet die too. Ever since I saw it I have wanted to use it on a page!  It is such a great size for scrapbooking and super cute too :)

The beautiful paper is by Simple Stories - Life in Colour. It's called The good life and the Teal/Yellow papers I've used for the title are also from this range.  I actually diecut the letters from card first and then glued the paper diecut on top of that for some extra dimension.

I also used Bazzill white and the small alphabet used for the title are Sunrise Thickers.

These things are available at Mystical Scrapbooks.

I'm so glad I finally got to combine my love of stamping and colouring with my love of scrapping :)

Thanks for dropping by today.
