3 Reindeers

I have a cute Christmas card to share today using the adorable new CC Designs stamp set called
3 Reindeers.

There are 3 reindeers in the set and all are gorgeous, but this one is my favourite because of the cute little puppy reindeer :)

I created a background with paints and a snowflake stencil on watercolour paper.
I also flicked some white paint over the top of it.
I tore a snow hill and used versafine sepia instead of black for the sentiment so that it would coordinate better with the brown reindeer.
Then I added some diecut snowflakes to the scene.

I'd like to enter my card in the following challenges :

Cute Card Thursday - Snowflakes
Southern Girls - Crazy for Critters

I used a gorgeous new stamp called Penguin, isn't it adorable?!!!

I white embossed the sentiment from Snowman Sentiments onto a tag from the Layering Tags Die.  And I also used the beautiful Snowflake Die again and the Shadow Spots Die, which I think looks great with these two cuties :)

Sweet Penguins

This is my last Chistmas project for the year - Phew!
And there were some dramas with it :)

I wanted to make my granddaughter a little Christmas gift and I decided to buy one of these snowglobes that you can put your photo inside.  So one side has a lovely photo of her and on the other side I created a little wintery scene using some new and old goodies from CC Designs.

I wanted to have her name on it so I used the Mini Alpha and Numbers die for that and added some stardust stickles to the top.  SO, after colouring the cute little penguin and cutting her out, I decided to ink up a pretty scene so that she would be on snow with a sunset behind her.  When the glitter was dry and I attached it to the card and put it in the globe, I realised the name was too low and you couldn't read it because of the snow and the red base.  I tried to pull the letters off and of course I had stuck it too well and I just ruined the whole thing!

Sooo I started again!  Cut out the name again, glittered it and inked up another pretty background.
Then I waited for it to dry.  I put it in the snowglobe and I was much happier with it.  I knew it was going to be hard to photograph and it was!  It does look much prettier in person.

When I was going through the photos to choose a couple of better ones for my blog, I thought how weird it was that the background inking had not shown up very much at all.  It was very "washed-out" and just looked as if it was WHITE!?  Umm ...... surely I couldn't have really stuck it down on the un-inked side of the paper, could I?  After doing all this twice?
I had to go and check .....

YEP  I did!  And there was no way I was doing it a 3rd time!  It's a shame because the inked background did look nice, but it's still pretty - I just can't believe that I did that! :(
I think it just shows how stressed out my brain is about STILL not having all my Christmas shopping done yet!
Oh well, maybe it will teach me to be more organised next year :)

I hope you have a very Happy Christmas :)

Snowflake

Hi :)  I have a card using another adorable stamp from the CC Designs new release to share with you.
This one is a Pollycraft stamp called Snowflake.  She's just SO cute!
And I teamed her up with this fun saying from the Snowy Sentiments set.

I decided to create a background for her with distress inks.  After I had sponged on the inks I splattered some water on top.  Then I added some extra dimension by using texture paste with the Birthday Dots Stencil.  It was the first time I've tried this and I was really happy with how pretty it turned out.  I also added some snowflakes from the new Snowflakes Die.

Ingredients :
Stamps : Snowflake, Snowy Sentiments
Ink : memento black, versafine, broken china, tumbled glass and dusty concord distress inks
Card : x-press it, slate, silver
Other : Rectangles #1 Die, Snowflakes Die, Birthday Dots stencil, texture paste, copics

I'd like to enter my card into the following challenges :

Well it's nearly time for a new release at CC Designs.
Yes it's November already, can you believe it?!

I have a sneak peek for you today.  I've used two new stamps, Winter Cottage and Winter Bunny.
I just love this bunny, he's soooo cute!

I've also used the new Snowflakes Die and Make a Card #11 Winter die. The Snowy Day paper and dots are new too.

To make the background I stamped the cottage with versamark and clear embossed it.  Then I used CC Designs Snow Storm Ink Pad to paint on some snow.  I also used it around the edge of the card.

This release isn't actually a Christmas release,  and it doesn't even snow here at Christmas, but I just thought it would make a really cute Christmas card anyway :)

Ingredients :

Stamps : Winter Cottage, Winter Bunny
Card : x-press it, kraft, marina mist, Snowy Day paper
Ink : memento black, versamark, snow storm ink
Other : Snowflakes die, Make a card #11 Winter die,  snowy day dots, pinky rectangles die, rectangles #1 die, make a card #10 Christmas die, clear ep, copics, clear wink of stella

Copics used :
W 00, 1
R 000, 24, 30, 85
BG 0000
