Petunia and Penny Take a Break

I've had a little break from crafting over the holidays, but now I'm ready to create again :)

My first card in 2017 is for a great challenge site called Words 2 Craft By.
I have entered their challenges a few times now and I was lucky enough to win one, which was great, and it also meant that I got to be a Guest Designer for them :)

Their challenge focuses on a saying or quote.
This one is from Glen Ballard and Siedah Garrett :

I decided to use this gorgeous stamp called Petunia and Penny Take a Break from Stamping Bella.
These two are SO adorable and they?!

My card is a reminder to Relax and "smell the roses", to be mindful and fully present in each moment.
And to not be so hard on ourselves when we are going through so many changes in our lives and things don't always go as planned.

Millie Post-it

There's only one week of school left and Christmas is getting very close (gulp)! So I thought I might make a little post-it note holder for a Teacher Gift.

This Pollycraft stamp from CC Designs called Millie, was one of my favourites from this years releases.  She is just so cute!  I decided to use very bright watermelon colours and I used my favourite die release from this year too, the Make a Tag Die.

Hi :)  I have another cute new release from CC Designs to share.
This one is a Roberto's image called  Nancy With Sunflowers.
It's such an adorable scene isn't it?!

I just love this stamp and it was lots of fun to colour it!
I do love sunflowers on cards and I also found a perfect sentiment to go with them in the Pool Party set.

Hi :)

It's new release week at CC Designs and there are some really gorgeous designs once again.

I decided to use this super sweet stamp called Birgitta with Heart.  You could use her for lots of occasions and she's just so pretty isn't she?!
The sentiment isn't new, but I just thought it was a perfect fit for her.  It's from the Pool Party sentiment set and it's such a great set of sentiments I think.  And this one fit perfectly on the smallest oval from the Make a Card #5 die :)

I have a new CC Designs card to share with you today and this one is a real sweetie!  This is
Lucy with Teddy and they're both adorable aren't they ?!

I used the new tag die again too but this time I used the large tag. 

I'm a bit disappointed with how the sentiment looks in the photo.  It's a sentiment from the Pool Party set which I actually silver embossed rather than using black. It really suits the card and looks very pretty, you just can't really tell in the photo unfortunately.

I've used a cute new Pollycraft stamp for CC Designs today called Dude. And YES he's very Cool!

I decided to try to make the card a bit "grungy" for a 20 something surfer.  So after colouring him and making the card I used a small paint brush with white craft ink dipped in water and splattered over it. I was hoping for a surf spray kind of effect and I was pretty happy with how it turned out :)

It's new release time again at CC Designs :)
There are a lot of fun, summery new designs and this cutie is one of my favourites.
It's a Pollycraft stamp called Millie.
Isn't she sweet?!

I decided to try making a watermelon for the card base and it's a Rocker Card - so it's fun and interactive too!  I was really happy with how it turned out.

I used the By DIEzyne Pierced Half Circles Dies.  I folded a piece of limeaid cardstock in half and used the largest die. Then I sponged old olive ink on the outside of it.  Then I used the next sized die to cut poppy cardstock and sponged real red on the outside and white in the middle.  This red section is cut in half. The seeds are actually made using the raindrops from the Little Cloudy Outline Die.

The sentiment is from a great new set called Pool Party.  It's full of great summery sayings, but they can be used all year round.
