Kind Poppies

This week at still addINKtive we have a sketch and colour combo for you.

You may choose to do either colour, sketch or both!

Bronwyn designed a very pretty circular sketch which I have been inspired by but I have made mine a square card instead.

I haven’t used my copics for quite a while now and I was really having withdrawals!  So I thought I would use copics similar to the stampin up colours in the challenge and colour the poppies.  I love this stamp, it is so beautiful and lots of fun to colour.

I also stamped the Kindness Matters butterfly onto vellum, coloured it from behind with a marker and cut it out.

Ingredients:

Stamps : Pleasant Poppies, Kindness Matters

Card : sahara sand, black, x-press it, vellum card

Ink : white, sahara sand, pip marker, copics

Other : pip satin ribbon (ret.), linen thread, vintage faceted button, white pen, big shot, fancy fan ef

Please take a look at what the rest of the design team have created this week and we’d love it if you would play along with our challenge too.

  3. This is totally my kind of card! It is so soft and pretty and I love that you didn't feel the need to add a sentiment.

  4. Nice watercoloring Kathy! It snowed over 18" for our first day of Spring here so your little spring scenery put a smile on my face!

  5. This is beautiful. I love how you can colour with Copics - I still haven't mastered the art. You also reminded me about using vellum in projects - such a cute butterfly. Just love the embossed background and addition of the button for added texture. This is a real work of art.

  6. Lovely card Kathy, I like you softly coloured poppies offset by the black scalloped circle, the clear button and the embossed background. Very pretty!
