Butterflies

I have a Whimsy card to share with you today and I decided to do some more brayering :)

I used the wonderful SC Design set Fluttering By again for the sentiment.  I have used it a lot already, I love it!  This time though, instead of using the butterfly images that come in the set, I decided to use the Butterfly Border Die also from SC Design.

The butterflies are joined in a row but I just used black card with the die and then cut these 2 butterflies off.
I then glued these on to vellum and fussy cut around them.  I tried not to cut the black butterflies but just the vellum.  Then I coloured the vellum from the back with pink and blue copics, you can use any kind of marker to do this though.  I attached them with a rolled up glue dot behind their bodies so that it couldn't be seen.  So they are very dimensional and the wings can be bent up too.  They reminded me of stained glass windows and I really liked how they turned out :)

For the brayered panel I used a circle cut from a post it note to mask a moon.  At the top I brayered pool party, turquoise and indigo and at the bottom it is wisteria, pretty in pink and razzleberry.

Ingredients :
Stamps : Fluttering By
Card : black, white, subtles and brights dsp stacks (SU), vellum
Ink : versafine black, pool party, turquoise, indigo, wisteria, pip, razzleberry
Other : Butterfly Border Die, brayer, pool party ribbon, copics

I would like to enter this into the challenge at A Creative Romance - Anything Goes.

Thanks for dropping by today :)
