Guy’s Celebrate

This week at still addINKtive we have another sketch and colour challenge for you.

I had a guy’s card to make and I thought these colours would work but I made a torn frame around the square instead of using the scallop. I just think it would have looked too “girly”!

I stamped the world and the log in turquoise and crumb cake and then embossed the ship with choc chip over the top.  I also embossed the sentiment flag.

I used the woodgrain embossing folder on crumb cake and wiped the white ink pad over it to highlight the grain.

I made the compass embellishment by stamping on starfruit in choc and then again onto white.  I used a little turquoise marker on the points and punched out circles with different sized punches.  The centre (white circle) was cut by hand though.

Ingredients :

Stamps : perfectly penned, french foliage, the open sea

Card : choc chip, white, crumb cake, starfruit

Ink : choc chip, turquoise, crumb cake, versamark, white

Other : antique brads, circle punches, square punch, clear embossing powder, big shot, wood ef,

Please take a look at what our still addINKtive team have come up with this week and show us what you create using our sketch, colours or both :)

  5. Great masculine card, I think the torn frame works better than a scallop one for this. I have just pinned it for future inspiration. We must catch up soon!

  6. I haven't used this stamp set for so long now and it's one of my favorites. I love the torn edges on the Chocolate Chip Cardstock layer. So appropriate with the stamped images!
