This week at Just Add Ink we have a wonderful sketch challenge.
I have turned my card the other way around though because it just worked better for the idea I had.
I used my new chocolate set (and that cute monkey again).
I stamped the background stamp “so much chocolate so little time” with versamark onto crumb cake and clear embossed it. I did faux stitching around the edge of this piece and sponged crumb cake around the edge.
With the little chocolates I stamped and cut them out and bent the wrappers to give it a real 3D look. I also used crystal effects on the chocolate part and once it had dried, drew the swirl on the top with a white gel pen. The little chocolates were stuck on with mini glue dots to give them dimension.
The ribbon is an old roll of choc chip stitched grosgrain and I have put pip satin ribbon over the top of it.
Ingredients :
Stamps : eat chocolate, fox and friends
Card : crumb cake, white. marina mist. choc chip
Ink : choc chip, marina mist, regal rose, versamark
Other : choc chip grosgrain, pip satin ribbon, clear embossing powder, crystal effects, mini glue dots, white pen, piercer
There are lots of gorgeous cards from the Just Add Ink design team using this sketch. Check them out and be inspired!

Wow! I had to look and look before I read your description to figure out those little chocolates. They look so real! Very cute card; I love all those little details.
ReplyDeleteThis is just TOO cute, Kathy! The dimension of the chocolates is incredible; very clever. I love how you've incorporated the little monkey on your card. Absolutely gorgeous!
ReplyDeleteThis card is great and I am hoping that your blog followers can see the fine detail you have put in to this creation, that I saw when I handled it! The 3D way you made the cupcakes/chocolates, even choosing a different top and bottom (check out the stamp set to see this detail!), plus I love your background...I will be CASEing this one for sure! Love it!
ReplyDeleteVery very cute! What you have done with the tiny!! chocolates is so special Kathy. I've never tried gel pen on crystal effect - I will now!
