Bluebell with Poinsettias

I have made another Christmas card for Bunny Zoe's Crafts.  Can you tell I have a thing for reindeer?
They are beautiful aren't they! One of my favourite things to do at Christmas time, ever since I was a little girl, has been to watch Rudolph the Red Nosed Reindeer on tv.  So I have a real soft spot for them.
I guess this one isn't Rudolph but it's very sweet anyway (maybe it's Clarice?).  I coloured the deer first and it just looked so pretty I decided to colour the poinsettia pink and go with a non-traditional colour scheme.

reindeer, christmas card, rudolph, wild rose studio, bluebell with poinsettias, copic

This gorgeous stamp is by Wild Rose Studio and is called Bluebell with Poinsettias.  I also used Season's Greetings Notables 7  and the Double Scallop Doily die from Whimsy Stamps.
I used copics to colour and added a little rock candy stickles to the ground.
The paper is from the MME Mistletoe Magic pad and I used a piece of  light pink raffia lace behind the doily.

Ingredients :

Stamps : Bluebell with Poinsettias (WRS), Season's Greetings Notables 7 (Whimsy)

Other : big shot,  Double Scallop Doily die (Whimsy),  rock candy stickles light pink raffia lace, buttons, bakers twine, circle nesties, gold spica, copics

Jingle Bell Rudolf

Today is the start of a new challenge at Bunny Zoe's Crafts and the challenge is to make something shabby chic or vintage.

If you follow my blog you'll know that I don't do this style of card very often but here is my attempt at it anyway :)

This is Jingle Bell Rudolf  from Magnolia Stamps.  Isn't he gorgeous!!!
I coloured him with copics and cut him out and placed him on a tag I made using  MME Mistletoe Magic paper.
I also used that paper pad to cut some snowflakes using the La La Land ornate snowflakes die.
The rest of the papers are from the Authentique Joyous pad.
I also stamped the word Christmas from Marianne D collectables corner and winter sent. set onto some cotton ribbon and the Santa sentiment stamp is Seasons Greetings Notables 7  from Whimsy.

Lots of sewing and a bit of distressing and inking with walnut stain and hopefully my card turned out to be shabby chic or vintagey enough :)

Ingredients :

Stamps : Jingle Bell Rudolf (Magnolia), Seasons Greetings Notables 7 (Whimsy), Corner and winter sent. (marianne D collectables)

Card : naturals ivory, x-press it, Mistletoe Magic (MME), Joyous (Authentique)

Ink : memento black, walnut stain distress ink, olive

Other : big shot, Ornate Snowflakes (La la land), flat backed pearls, Christmas charms, star dust stickles, fran-tage, gold spica, cotton ribbon, copics

Please play along with us in the challenge at Bunny Zoe's Stamps this month, even if you are usually more of a clean and simple stamper like me.  You may even be lucky enough to win a prize :)

Sending Robins

This is my first card as a Guest Designer for Bunny Zoe's Crafts.
It is a wonderful group of ladies to be working with and such a fabulous store too.
There are just so many crafty goodies to choose from!!!

I decided to use one of the really cute new Christmas releases from Wild Rose Studio called Christmas Robins.  Aren't they sweet!

I also used a sentiment set by Whimsy Stamps called Season's Greetings Notables 7. I actually cut the circle out and put it on top of another greeting from the set.  I wanted to use this sentiment because I thought it went so well with the robins, but I also wanted this background because I wanted to try colouring in the stripes with my copics to match the copic colours I used on the main image.  I was really happy with how this sentiment turned out.  Although after all the time it took to use 3 different greens on each line and 3 different reds I realised too late that I maybe would have got just as good a result if I'd drawn around the circle with a grey copic marker.  Oh well I'll try it that way next time :)

The paper is gorgeous and is from a pad called Joyous by Authentique.  I haven't tried that many paper pads YET  :) but I'd have to say that Authentique is my favourite so far.  Beautiful prints and I love the solid coordinating colours too, their paper is lovely and smooth and of a really high quality in my opinion. I will be buying more :)
