Snowy
I decided to colour him and cut him out to use as a tag (you need to imagine him on a beautifully wrapped present, as I have some cards done but I don't have any presents organised yet!) :)
You could use him as a cute bookmark too!
And then I coloured him again but this time just his hat, face and scarf and cut them out and used them on the card.
I die cut some letters and coloured around the edge of them with the same copics that I used to colour his face W3 and BG000.
I used the gorgeous Joyous papers by authentique again. The black has lots of Christmas sentiments in different languages and the red is a fun Christmas find a word (the scroll at the bottom is on the paper, it is not part of my watermark :)
My daughter has a male teacher this year and I thought she might like to give this card to him so I resisted the urge to put stickles on the snowman or letters in case it made it too "pretty". I did use some of the black flat backed pearls as accents though.
This stamp is actually very versatile. It makes a great tag of course but there are lots of other ways it can be used if you just use the top portion of the image. Plus .... he's lots of fun to colour.
I would also like to enter this card into the "It's Snowing" challenge over at High Hopes Stamps.
Ingredients :
Stamps : Snowy Tag (High Hopes)
Card : RH Red, x-press it, Joyous (Authentique)
Ink : memento black
Other : timeless type alpha (sizzix), big shot, circles (SB), black flat backed pearls, copics

Lighting a Candle
It was one of those times when the card didn't turn out like I originally thought it would. I was going to colour her all cute and use bright colours but then I started looking at the papers from Mistletoe Magic and decided to paper-piece her dress and then she ended up being a bit shabby-chic looking, so I went with that. She's still very cute though!
The little "Christmas" sentiment is also by Marianne Design and is called Corner and winter sent. It comes with a corner die but I decided to use it this way instead
Ingredients :
Stamps : Corner and winter sent (Marianne Design Collectable), Daisy Lighting a candle (Marianne Design)
Card : x-press it, black, vanilla, naturals ivory, Mistletoe Magic (My minds eye)
Ink : memento black, crumb cake
Other : big shot, opulent ovals (SB), ovals (SB), black flat backed pearls 4mm, fran-tage, star dust stickles, flowers (SU)
Thanks for dropping by to take a look today :)

Santa Baby
This time I've used Santa Baby from Whimsy Stamps.
Isn't she cute!
I used copics to colour her and then cut her out and I used Fun Flock for the first time too.
The extra dimension and "fluffiness" does look great on her dress and hat.
Ingredients :
Stamps : Santa Baby
Card : olive, x-press it, brights core'dinations, Vintage Summer (Little yellow bicycle)
Ink : memento black
Other : fun flock, big shot, cross stitch #2 ef (sizzix), cosmic star border (memory box), copics
The Whimsy Stamp on this card is also available at Bunny Zoe's Crafts
Hopefully you've made a start on your Christmas cards too :)

Sending Robins
It is a wonderful group of ladies to be working with and such a fabulous store too.
There are just so many crafty goodies to choose from!!!
I decided to use one of the really cute new Christmas releases from Wild Rose Studio called Christmas Robins. Aren't they sweet!
I also used a sentiment set by Whimsy Stamps called Season's Greetings Notables 7. I actually cut the circle out and put it on top of another greeting from the set. I wanted to use this sentiment because I thought it went so well with the robins, but I also wanted this background because I wanted to try colouring in the stripes with my copics to match the copic colours I used on the main image. I was really happy with how this sentiment turned out. Although after all the time it took to use 3 different greens on each line and 3 different reds I realised too late that I maybe would have got just as good a result if I'd drawn around the circle with a grey copic marker. Oh well I'll try it that way next time :)
The paper is gorgeous and is from a pad called Joyous by Authentique. I haven't tried that many paper pads YET :) but I'd have to say that Authentique is my favourite so far. Beautiful prints and I love the solid coordinating colours too, their paper is lovely and smooth and of a really high quality in my opinion. I will be buying more :)
Ingredients:
Stamps : Christmas Robins. (Wild Rose Studio), Season's Greetings Notables 7 (Whimsy Stamps)
Card : limeade, x-press it, crumb cake, Joyous (Authentique)
Ink : memento black
Other : flat backed pearls, star dust stickles, button, ribbon (SU), gold spica, copics

Cherish Wyanet
I don't tend to do that style of card very much.
Possibly my card is a Clean Shabby Chic one? I'm not sure that's even possible but perhaps I've created a new style! :)
This stamp is called Wyanet (Beautiful) and it's by Syliva Zet. She really is gorgeous isn't she!
I thought I might colour her with my warm greys (there is just hint of pink on her cheeks) and try to bring a vintage, sepia photo feel to it.
Hopefully you'll join us in the challenge this month, and you may even be lucky enough to win a prize :)
Ingredients :
Stamps : Wyanet, Birthday Letter Seals
Card : suede, crumb cake, x-press it, SU dsp, subtles core'dinations
Ink : memento black, crumb cake, baja
Other : big shot, circle nesties, double scallop doily die, fancy fan ef, crumb cake seam binding, subtles candy dots, fran-tage, copics

Special Gift
Kraftin’ Kimmie has a whole range of challenges this week in celebration of World Card Making Day. I thought I would enter one and use another image from the wonderful Joyful Holiday set.
This set is really versatile because 2 of the 3 images can be used for birthday cards as well as Christmas cards and that is what I decided to do. This image is perfect for any friends of my daughters because she is wearing a onesie. I’m not sure if the whole world has caught onesie fever like we have in Australia but I’m sure they would love this card just because she’s in one!
I am entering this card into the Paper Piecing challenge at Kraftin’ Kimmie. I paper pieced the box and the bow and used the same papers in the background too.
Ingredients :
Stamps : Joyful Holiday (Kraftin’ Kimmie)
Card : x-press it, black, saffron, Authentique – Delightful
Ink : memento black, versafine black, saffron
Other : circle nesties, big shot, subtles button, bakers twine, kindyglitz, gold spica, copics

A circle of friends
I wanted to make Bev something bright and happy that will hopefully make her smile.
I decided to use the beautiful Beau and Bashful stamp by Sylvia Zet again. I decided to just use Beau though, so I coloured him with my brightest copics, added some sparkle to his horn and cut him out. I wanted a sentiment about making someone’s day brighter and I didn’t have one so I just printed this up myself and sponged a cloudy sky over the top of it.
I know it would make a great Get Well card for a little girl but I’m really hoping that a big girl like Bev will appreciate it too :)
I hope it did brighten your day a little Bev and I hope you start feeling much better really soon.
Ingredients :
Stamps : Beau and Bashful
Card : x-press it, celery, limeaid
Ink : pool party, memento black
Other : big shot, grassy edges die (MFT), kindy glitz, pearl pen, Romantic Rectangles (spellbinders), copics
Finally, here is a full hop list in hopping order:
Thanks so much for stopping by today!

Whimsy World Card Making Day Hop
I decided to make a card for my Daughter's violin teacher. There are music exams coming up and she has been helping her so much with her studies that I wanted to make a special card to say "Thanks for everything".
I used Jo Davies' gorgeous Bookish girl again. I love her and thought she would work well if I also added a few musical touches to the card. I used the new sentiment set Holiday Sliders 3 as a pretty backdrop for the sentiment from Treasured Moments Tickets too. I embossed it with white embossing powder and cut it out with the slider 3 die and then cut the other sentiment out and stuck it on top. Sliding this partly behind the main image makes it into a nice "file tab" kind of shape which I like.
Ingredients :
Stamps : Bookish, Holiday Sliders 3, Treasured Moments Tickets
Card : x-press it, olive, limeaid, blushing bride, subtles core'dinations
Ink : memento black
Other : big shot, slider 3 die, music notes (MFT), pretty posies (MFT), pearls, pearl brad, crystal effects, copics, white ep, music ef (spellbinders)
The hop starts today at 9.00AM (EST) and ends on Monday 7th October 2013 at 12.00PM (EST). We've hidden a fantastic rubber stamp prize pack somewhere along the hop, so be sure to complete the hop and leave comments on all the DT's hop posts to enter! We will announce the lucky winner on the Whimsy blog on Monday, once the hop has ended.

Happy Deer
I had fun looking at the new September release at Kraftin’ Kimmie a couple of weeks ago. Their design team had made some wonderful cards so I left them some comments and I was VERY lucky and won this set called Joyful Holiday. It arrived this week and I decided to make a card with it straight away. There are actually 3 really cute stamps with sayings in the set but this one is my favourite. Isn’t she cute! And I LOVE the sentiment that goes with her :)
I would like to enter this card into the Kraftin’ Kimmie challenge this week which is Inspired By Nature and also the challenge at Creative Card Crew where the challenge is to make or use a tag.
I had fun colouring the Deer Girl with my copics and I sponged a cloudy sky. I added some kindy glitz for some sparkle and the bells are a bit fun too because the card looks, but also sounds, cute.
Ingredients :
Stamps : Joyful Holiday (Kraftin’ Kimmie)
Card : x-press it, olive, limeaid, pip, black, Vintage Summer (Little Yellow Bicycle)
Ink : memento black, pool party
Other : big shot, Grassy edges (MFT), Traditional tags (MFT), bakers twine, bells, olive taffeta ribbon, kindyglitz, copics
