My cupcake Twila

I have a card for CC Designs to share today.
This one features Twila, one of my favourite characters.  I love her!
And My Cupcake Twila is such a cute stamp! I used one of the great sentiments from the set too :)

I decided to create a little scene by using the grass from the Make a Card #13 die and the balloons from the new Make a Card #14 die.  So she is sitting outside at a park maybe (?) enjoying her birthday party with balloons and cakes :)

I have a card for CC Designs to share with you today.

I have used the Balloons girl from the Cupcakes and Balloons set.

She's so sweet isn't she ?! I love her!

I don't do paper-piecing very often but I decided to paper-piece her dress and I really like how it turned out :)

The sentiment is from a new set called Birthday Wishes Sentiments and I used the Banner die to cut it out.  Then I just used a needle to push 2 holes through the top of it and threaded my twine through and tied a bow.

Plato Quote

Hi :)  I have another page to share today.
Mystical Scrapbooks is having a Cyber Crop this weekend and there are a number of different challenges relating to Journalling to play along with.

The challenge I decided to take on was to use a quote to enhance your page.
I wanted to scrap this photo of my daughter playing her violin and I think this quote by Plato really helps to capture her love of music.

 I used Doodlebug Hello Spring Rainbow Jellies and Baby Butterflies papers and Twiddldybitz Chipboard Cuts. The quote was created with 2 different styles of Thickers, Pink Paislee Hey Kid Element Stickers and some smaller stickers from my stash.
I added some Kaisercraft Silver Jewels and splatted on some white kraft ink among them, but it's subtle and hard to see in the photo.
I also used the rectangles die from CC Designs for the matt behind the photo.

Surprise

I have a cutie from CC Designs to share with you today :)
This one is from Roberto's Rascals and is called Surprise.  She is SO adorable isn't she?!
And there are 2 others, that are equally cute in the set too.
There are some great sentiments with it also but I decided to try out the new Jumbo Alphabet die with her.  It is such a bold but cute font and I think it works really well with her.

I found this sketch at Sketch Saturday and it was so fun to work with.

Music challenge

It is my turn to host a challenge at Mystical Scrapbooks and I'm challenging you to add some Music to your page.

I have used a song title and some music notes on mine but there are many other ways to add music - patterned paper, stamps or embossing, for example.  But wait - it's not quite that simple! :)  As we are focusing on journalling this month I have a second part to my challenge and that is to journal in white.  I always journal in black, but I wasn't happy with how that looked on this page so I tried writing with a white gel pen on grey strips of card and I really liked it.  I'll have to remember to try white more often :)

I used the Cocoa Vanilla Free Spirit - Shabby Chic paper, Bazzill Basic white and Core'dinations Gibraltar and In the pink.

For the titles I used Grey Fabric Thickers and Basic Grey Pink Monograms.

The music notes are Twiddleybitz Chipboard Cuts that I have painted with black acrylic paint.
The arrow is from the Cocoa Vanilla Free Spirit - Die cut ephemera set.

I also used the Make a Card #4 die from CC Designs for the little rectangles around the "woofs".

Celebrate

Today is RELEASE DAY for all of our new APRIL products!! As you have seen from our Preview Days, all of these products are perfect for those upcoming birthday celebrations...WOOT WOOT...time to PAAAAARTY! 

For the month of April, we have 7 adorable character stamps, 1 sentiment stamp set, 3 awesome die sets, and a new paper pad....so exciting as always!!

 

Well there are just SO many wonderful stamps to choose from in this release but I decided to work with these cute little guys from the Celebrate set :)  The sentiment is from the set too.

I also used the balloons and strings/streamers from the new Make a Card #14 die set.  I decided to cut them from the same coloured base card which made for a more dimensional and interesting background without taking the attention away from the adorable mice guys :)  I also used the circle die and scalloped circle die.

Cupcakes and Balloons

It's new release time again at CC Designs and this is a little peek at some of the new goodies.

This cutie is from a set called Cupcakes and Balloons and you get 2 adorable girls in the set.

The "Celebrate" is from the Celebrate set (fancy that :)  It actually has 3 very cute animal images (I'm using one of them for my card tomorrow) and 3 sentiments, but I just thought it worked perfectly with Cupcakes.

The stars are from the fantastic new Make a card #14 Birthday Die.  This die is a "must-have", there are just so many useful and fun elements in it.

And the papers are from the new Rainbow paper pad and I used some Smoochie and Princess enamel dots too :)
